Secure File sharing = P2P2P

Slyck is running a good story on secure/encrypted file sharing. The piece covers the issues that surround MUTE and now a new application called ANts – which both utilize blind intermediaries to anonymize the requester and receiver of files on a decentralized peer to peer network.

ANTs is new on the scene and is being developed by a developer named Gwren who operates from an “undisclosed coastal town in Italy”.

NOTE TO SELF: Move to an undisclosed coastal town in Italy.

Also of note is that ANts seems to have built in full text search of indexed documents (pdf, html, txt, doc, etc.) utilizing Lucene as the search engine…
